The new Mooyah, a “fast casual” burger restaurant, has opened off Rayford Road in The Woodlands, Tx area.

This is the fifth Mooyah in the Houston, Tx area, all opened by Brig Agrawal, who has previously opened 85 Subways and was looking for a change.

Agrawal stated, “We’re very happy with it. We’ve had a lot of good feedback from people who love the concept.”

The Dallas, Tx-based Mooyah caught Agrawal’s attention when visiting Dallas.

Despite being a burger restaurant though, Agrawal is a vegetarian.

He said, “I had friends try the normal burgers and give me feedback."

Since 1999, the business partners have been operating Subways but decided to try Mooyah about one and a half years ago, Agrawal added.

Alexis Barnett, marketing director for Mooyah, stated “Hamburgers are one of the most consumed meals in the United States. We try to get it right from the first bite.”

The Millennium Waterway Avenue Apartments, located in The Woodlands Town Center in The Woodlands, Tx, garnered the 2012 Houston Business Journal’s Landmark Award in the multifamily category and was a finalist in the green category, stated Alex Sutton, president of The Woodlands Development Company.

Two new electric vehicle charging stations, the first in The Woodlands, Tx, have been installed on the first floor of the Market Street parking garage.

The Blink Pedestal stations are available for free use for electric vehicles equipped with the standard J1772 connector.

These include the Chevy Volt, Smart ED, Nissan LEAF, Ford Focus and Mitsubishi I.

Jenny Taylor, marketing director for the luxury shopping and entertainment destination, stated, “The charging stations add to the uniqueness of Market Street. We have already had cars charging in the spaces as well as calls asking if charging stations are available.”

Over 200 Blink electric vehicle charging stations are scheduled to be installed in the Houston, Tx area in the coming months as part of The EV Project, the largest rollout of electric vehicle infrastructure to date which calls for the installation of 15,000 residential and commercial charging stations in 16 cities and major metropolitan areas in six states and the District of Columbia.

A new location for the SCORE organization is scheduled to be at 1400 Woodloch Forest Drive Suite #300, the Chamber of Commerce offices in Town Center in The Woodlands, Tx.
SCORE is a nonprofit organization of volunteer businessmen that has provided free counseling for small businesses for more than 40 years.

Though the organization has left its location at Conroe, Tx, it is scheduled to continue to serve Conroe as well as the Woodlands and North Houston communities.

At the new location, SCORE is scheduled to be offering a seminar on Wednesday, May 2 on how to start and run your own business.

These seminars are scheduled to cover management, marketing, business opportunities, organization/regulation/insurance, funding sources, record-keeping, business plans and more.

If you pay online, the fee for both seminars is $36 or $40 at the door, or $20 for only one seminar.

Counseling hours at SCORE are available by appointment only Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
